Willie Peters named Betfred Coach of the Month for June

Willie Peters has been named as Betfred Super League Coach of the Month for June with an unbeaten month in league action complementing a Betfred Challenge Cup Final victory at Wembley. 

The Robins’ celebrations from a famous Cup Final victory bled into their return to Betfred Super League action with a thumping of struggling Catalans Dragons side 68-6 at Sewell Group Craven Park. 

Hull KR’s ruthless defence was on display once more a week later when they comfortably dispatched of Castleford Tigers, 0-48, on the road. Noah Booth, Jack Broadbent and Tom Davies all notched braces in the victory.

The Betfred Super League leader leaders rounded off an impressive June with a 34-10 win against Wakefield Trinity with winger Davies crossing for a hat-trick.

One member of the voting panel explained their support of Peters: “His ability to keep his Hull KR team focused and grounded despite breaking a 40-year trophy drought has been the cornerstone of their relentless form in June.”
