Satae signs new Dragons contract

Catalans Dragons have announced the contract extension of Chris Satae, who has signed a new one-year deal.

The Tongan prop is now tied to the club until the end of the 2026 season.

The 32-year-old joined the Dragons in 2024 from Hull FC. A key player of the Catalans’ pack, the powerful prop has already made 45 appearances for the club since his arrival and has scored six tries.

Satae said: "First of all I would like to thank Bernard for giving me the opportunity to extend my time with the Dragons. I'm really grateful for it as I’ve grown to love this club and the community of Perpignan. I’m looking forward to contributing and helping to get this club back to where it belongs.

Joel Tomkins, Dragons head coach, also commented: "I am delighted that Chris has agreed to extend his stay at the club. He is a big part of our team and club, a great professional and a role model to our younger players."
