Betfred Super League’s Magic WKND returns to St. James’ Park, Newcastle, in just 50 days time – and this year it’s going to be bigger and better.
In just four rounds the teams have served up everything from golden point drama, dominant displays of defence, and mesmerising magic in their attack - setting us up for six tasty clashes at St. James’ Park this May Bank Holiday.
But have you got your tickets yet?
What's on:
To get the party started we have BBC Radio 1 Xtra DJ Nick Bright on the decs playing everything from current bangers to old classics you can’t help but sing along to.
Alongside Nick we have our resident rugby league stadium announcer Pete Nuttall not only delivering you the action from the sidelines, but bringing you in to it. Across the weekend we’re launching new technologies for fans to get themselves up on the big screen and compete in new games and competitions with plenty of prizes up for grabs!

With the Sunday fixtures falling on Star Wars day it would be remis of us not to introduce our first Fancy Dress Competition where the winner will be chosen by a fan vote. So for your chance to win tickets to the biggest Rugby League events in 2025 make sure you’ve got your costume at the ready – and May the Fourth be with you.
On the pitch, in addition to a full round of Betfred Super League we have performances from Join the Momentum dancers, and the fan-favourite Learning Disability Super League exhibition games delivered by Community Integrated Care.
After each game fans will get the chance to vote for each games’ Betfred Player of the Match, so make sure you’ve downloaded the OurLeague App to have your say.
And that’s not all! Outside the stadium you can take advantage of our unique pass-out system to explore the Magic WKND Fan Zone. Located on Strawberry Place, it’s the perfect place to soak up the weekend’s party atmosphere. Fans can expect a range of food and beverage stalls and activities delivered by official partners Glen's Vodka, Northern, and ABK and others throughout the weekend.
There will be a host there throughout the two days, keeping the party going with live music and audience games with a Rugby League twist! There will also be a chance for you to purchase exclusive Magic WKND merchandise from the Oxen retail unit.
In 2025 we also have the exciting addition of St. James’ Parks STACK. Newcastle’s Answer to Box Park opened in 2024 and offers a wide range of food and drink options, plus live music from local artists across the weekend.

Beyond our fan zone you can explore the City with special offers available to Magic WKND ticket holders at The Gate.
