Fantasy League debrief

Before we take a week's break in the Fantasy action due to Round 4 of the Betfred Challenge Cup, here is a look at some of the performances from Round 4 of the Betfred Super League...

Top performers

Powerhouse prop, Herman Ese’ese, was the top performer in Round 4. The Hull number eight was the only player to reach three figures scoring exactly 100 points.

The try-scoring forward made 162 metres from 18 carries as well as making 44 tackles during the entertaining 22-22 draw against Leigh Leopards.

Does this top performing prop come into your side ahead of Hull FC’s clash with Wakefield Trinity in Round 5?

Second in the standings this week is teammate of Ese’ese, Jed Cartwright. The second rower suffered an injury in Round 1 and had been missing ever since until Round 4.

And what a way to return as Cartwright claimed 93 points, which was 32 points more than any other second rower! The Black and Whites forward scored a try and made 100 metres and a whopping 54 tackles.

St Helens full back Jack Welsby was the highest performing back and the third highest performer in Round 4.

Welsby has been the top performer so far in 2025, scoring 50 points more than any other player. Despite being on the losing side on Friday night, Welsby did score a try and assist a try.

Surely the Saints number one is a player you need in your side?

Fantasy flops

Kyle Feldt is one of the highest priced players, however, his fantasy performance at the weekend does not reflect the price tag.

The former record-breaking North Queensland winger played the entire 80 minutes scoring just 16 points.

Is he an expensive player to keep hold of ahead of Round 5?

Jordan Rapana is another player who struggled for points, scoring just 16 in Round 4. At a hefty £150k, he might be worth swapping out your side...

The New Zealand international had a 10-minute spell on the sideline due to a sin bin, which immediately deducts -5 points from Fantasy players' scores. He then played the entirety of the contest apart from that blemish.

Finally, Tom Burgess has only has scored 104 points this year, after adding just 15 in the latest round. Fellow prop Ese'ese amassed 100 points in one round alone, which could get Fantasy players thinking about whether or not to keep Burgess in their teams...
