Fantasy League debrief

Let's find out what happened in Week 18 of Fantasy...

Top performers

It comes as no surprise that the highest points scorer in Round 18 is the man who leads the way in 2025.

Hull FC’s Herman Ese’ese takes this week's title with 80 points, which puts him on a grand total of 1155 Fantasy points this season so far.

On Thursday night, the Hermanator made 180 metres from 21 carries, 21 tackles - and a whopping seven tackle busts. The powerful prop proved to be a handful for the Trinity defence and was key to the Black & Whites' success.

Surely Ese’ese is already in your side, right?

He might have been on a losing team, but Daejarn Asi takes second spot this week. Asi scored twice during the Tigers’ defeat at the Red Devils on Sunday.

Cas' main man scored 77 points during the 80 minutes. At £100k, is he a cheaper option to consider going forward?

The third top Fantasy perfomer also featured in Sunday's clash. Joe Mellor scored a crucial try for the Red Devils - started and finished by himself - as Paul Rowley's side recorded their second success of the season in style.

Mellor also made over 100 metres.

Fantasy flops

Veteran Ryan Hall scored poorly in a Fantasy sense this week. However, this is hardly surprising considering that the Rhinos were kept scoreless by the Saints in Round 18.

Hall made 92 metres from 16 carries, which scored him just Fantasy points on Friday. At £135k, Hall can’t continue to score in this manner, although this is likely to be just a blip for Super League's all-time top try scorer.

Before the results went dark, Jake Connor was leading the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel rankings, but he had an evening to forget on Friday and that was reflected with his price tag.

Connor had 14 carries for just a return of 45 metres. He made four errors, which stalled the Rhinos attack at times. Are you sticking with the £120k playmaker as we draw closer to the end of the regular season?

Hull KR's Joe Burgess also underperformed in Round 18, racking up just 17 Fantasy points in his side's defeat at Leigh.
