Hull KR and Leigh are the top two sides in Betfred Super League - and that is great for the sport.

They have a top-of-the-table clash today and not many people would have ever expected that happening a few years ago.

But Leigh have gained so much respect, first of all for their innovation off the pitch and the money they are investing to make it a matchday experience down there has been first-class.

Also, they have a great coach in Adrian Lam, they have recruited very well again for 2025 and they are a serious side now.

It’s taken them a while to get there after previous attempts but I do really think they add value to the Super League competition both on and off the pitch.

The story has been pretty similar for KR.

They were a bit of a yo-yo club but have now strung together a number of good years, have found their identity, have a really strong board, a great owner and are showing drive and innovation.

They are trying different things and have a great matchday experience at Hull KR.

And that’s what Super League set out to do 30 years ago: make it better for fans and to help encourage more to watch.
