Ryan Hall has returned home to Leeds Rhinos and is ready for a second stint with his hometown club.
Hall became synonymous with the Rhinos during their ‘Golden Generation’, winning a host of silverware, which includes six Super League Grand Finals and their famous domestic treble in 2015.
He is renowned for his sensational try-scoring abilities, and hence why he is currently the all-time Super League top try scorer and a one of the most seasoned figures within the game.

As a true Rhinos icon, he is bound to be given the warmest of welcomes at AMT Headingley in Round 1 next month, and Hall admits that it’s good to be back where it all started:
“It’s rolled back the years – certainly, being back in the Blue & Amber again!” exclaimed Hall, who reached a Grand Final with Hull KR last season.
“I enjoyed my time doing what I was doing prior to this, but I’m glad to be home now. I’m a Leeds lad after all.
“I’m enjoying it, all the lads have welcomed me back and I’ve got my familiar spots within the changing rooms and around the training venue. I’ve even got my old locker back with the same number!
“The commute is a little bit better now, which adds to my social life and getting that back a little bit again.”

The Rhinos haven’t won a piece of silverware since the 2017 Grand Final, in which Hall featured - playing his usual pivotal part. And their treble-winning year, where Hall memorably scored at the death to dramatically snatch the League Leaders’ Shield, is about to become a decade old in 2025.
The days of their immense dominance arguably seem like a lifetime ago, but Hall is hoping he can bring invaluable experience to Brad Arthur’s side, with his own burning desire to help resurrect Leeds Rhinos’ glory days:
“I’ve been speaking to the lads about previous years and what they’ve experienced and what we’re doing in this pre-season. All the tunes seem to be playing the right notes.
“Pre-season is always tough but as a team you want to know you’re training hard, because that does set you up for a good season.
“I want to try and achieve something this year.”
Pulling on a Rhinos jersey again was always a no-brainer for Hall, but after almost seven years away, there have been a lot of changes in and around the club:
“When I left Leeds originally, I did say to the crowd that I would like to finish my career at Headingley. And when the opportunity presented itself, I took it, and here we are.
“The people have changed. There is a small group of players still here – Mikolaj Oledzki, Ash Handley, Cam Smith and then Harry Newman was just breaking into the team when I left – they are all still about.
“The backroom staff have changed but we’re all doing the same thing and what jobs we’re used to doing. It’s all pulling in the right direction.”
Hall is more than ready for his homecoming and even more so with Brad Arthur’s decision to stick around as the Leeds boss:
“I’ve been really impressed. Brad Arthur has added direction and there’s a reason why we’re doing what we’re doing. That’s what you want as a player - you like knowing the outcome and what you want to achieve – and let’s try and all work towards it as best we can.”
