The Road to Old Trafford - update

The road to Old Trafford for the 2024 Betfred Super League Grand Final on October 12 will be locked in after the final round of fixtures – as Rugby League Commercial reconfirms some significant information for fans of the eight clubs still in contention for the Play-Offs, and anyone else planning to attend.

Ticket sales with less than one month to go are at their highest level for years, and with RLC now able to confirm more details of the Play-Off series and how it will link to ticket allocations at Old Trafford, fans are urged to move quickly to secure their seats.

The winners of the League Leaders’ Shield will play in the second Semi Final on Saturday October 5 – a 530pm kick-off live on Sky Sports and BBC Two, as BBC Sport provides live coverage of two Play-Off fixtures for the first time, as part of the new three-year broadcast agreement which began this season.

The runners-up at the end of the regular season will play in the first Semi Final on Friday October 4, with live and exclusive coverage on Sky Sports in the usual 8pm slot.

Current league leaders Wigan Warriors secured their place in the top against Leeds last time out, meaning the winners of their Semi Final in two weeks time will be allocated the West Stand at Old Trafford (the Stretford End).

That would leave the fans of the winners of the other Semi Final, which would feature either or both of Hull KR or Warrington Wolves – both guaranteed to finish in the top three with Wigan – with their ticket allocation in the East Stand.

The team who finish third will have home advantage on the first weekend of the Play-Offs – the Elimination Play-Offs – on Saturday September 28, against the team who finish sixth in the table and again kicking off at 530pm with live coverage again on Sky Sports and BBC Two.

The Play-Offs will launch on Friday September 27 with Sky Sports providing live and exclusive coverage of the sudden death showdown between the teams who finish fourth and fifth in the Betfred Super League table.

Tickets are on sale now for Saturday 12th October, when one of the Super League’s elite will be crowned champions. The competitiveness of this season sets the scene for what is guaranteed to be an action-packed, nail-biting play-off series, where all roads lead to Old Trafford. Last year Matt Peet’s Wigan Warriors lifted the coveted trophy, but can they defend their title come October, or will a new team come knocking?

Joining us on Grand Final day, are The Lathums who will be keeping the party atmosphere going with TWO live performances at pre-match and half-time. Tickets start at just £30 for adults, and £15 for juniors, secure your place today - Betfred Super League Grand Final Tickets.
