Matty Ashton scored Warrington’s opening try on Thursday night, which kickstarted a wonderful performance from the Wolves, which saw them register back-to-back home wins.

It’s a trio of Tigers in Round 17’s Team of the Week, as Craig Lingard’s men produced a strong victory over London Broncos.

Jacob Miller stole the show with four try assists, which in turn set up Innes Senior twice, who crossed for a double. The defensive efforts of Elie El-Zakhem also earn him a place – the second rower coming up with 21 tackles in a 67-minute stint.

Wigan enjoyed the derby spoils against St Helens on Friday night and young fullback Zach Eckersley certainly stepped up to the occasion – his efforts saw him receive Player of the Match.

It was a memorable night for the 20-year-old star, as not only did he produce an incredible 124 metres in 15 carries and eight tackle busts, but also assisted a try and came up with the match-winner ten minutes from time.

His team-mate Ethan Harvard also impressed, with Saints’ George Delaney putting a huge defensive shift in - emerging as the match’s top tackler with a whopping 52 tackles.

Leigh try-scorers Kai O’Donnell and Darnell McIntosh contributed massively to the Leopards’ scintillating win over the Giants on Saturday, and therefore appear in Team of the Week.

Likewise, Mikey Lewis was on the scoresheet for the Robins in the Hull Derby – the Robins magician has now scored in all three derbies this year!

Matt Parcell also proved to be pivotal for Hull KR, with one try assist, as well as 42 tackles – as his side made it a clean sweep of derby wins over Hull FC in 2024.

Finally, Catalans got the job done on Saturday when they nilled Salford in the south of France. Arthur Romano helped with his brilliant brace, and captain Ben Garcia rallied his Dragons on the night.
