Rivals Round Fantasy debrief
22 Apr 2025

The Easter period saw the Betfred Super League sides clash in Rivals Round, with teams claiming bragging rights.
Here is a look at the performances from Week 8...
Top performers
Salford Red Devils’ Joe Mellor top the charts this week, with an outstanding score given how tough the previous weeks have been for his side.
Heading into Rivals Round, Mellor had claimed just 54 points in all matches this year. However, despite a heavy defeat, Mellor scored an impressive 85 Fantasy points in the weekend just gone - on what was his 300th career appearance as well!
The hooker made a huge 45 tackles, which helped contribute to such a strong score. At £130k, is he a player that you should be adding to your side?
Lachlan Miller proved to be a dangerous threat on Friday and this was reflected in his Fantasy points return. A try and 188 metres helped the Rhinos comfortably defeat the Giants. Miller scored 82 points, which puts him in second position this week.

Rounding off the top 3 this week was Hull KR hooker, Jez Litten. Litten made 35 tackles and 108 metres from 12 carries. The Robins number nine is the top performing hooker in Fantasy scoring 40 points more than anybody else in that position.
Fantasy flops
The lowest performer of the entire week was Cade Cust. This is unsurprising - with the Hull FC stand-off playing just 15 minutes of The Hull Derby before seeing red, which was the first red card in Super League this season.

His score is also the first minus of the season at -3. Cust received disciplinary points in this week's Match Review Panel, but copped no ban, meaning he is available to face the Warriors on Sunday.
David Armstrong has been a key figure in the Leopards attack, but his game time was cut short on Saturday afternoon.
Armstrong made a single figure return at just 9 points. £140K is an expensive player to keep, especially if the full-back continues to miss upcoming matches.
Due to his price, the final flop this week is Tevita Pangai Jr, who claimed just 24 points, which is a low return for a player with a £160k Fantasy price tag.
However, Pangai has proved tough to handle this season, but somehow a spirited Red Devils did well to control the big prop.
With Wakefield Trinity coming to the south of France at the weekend, will you keep the faith or make a change?
